The European Union’s Electromagnetic Compatibility (EU EMC) Directive (2004/108/EC), requires equipment to be designed and manufactured in such a way as to ensure that any electromagnetic disturbance it generates does not prevent other radio and telecommunications equipment from working. The most recent update (2014/30/EU) expands the EMC Directive to now: include distributors and importers as well as manufacturers; require additional (and multilingual) technical documentation; and update notified body requirements.
