RoHS Testing
The Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive [RoHS 2002/95/EC] – restricts the use of lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), hexavalent chromium (Cr 6+), and two groups of brominated flame retardants (PBB/PBDE) in electrical and electronic equipment. It was modified in 2011 [RoHS 2011/65/EU] and 2015 [Commission Delegated Directive 2015/863]. The most recent addition, restricts four phthalates (DEHP, BBP, DBP, and DIBP), and takes effect in July 2019.
There are a number of exemptions for RoHS, which the experts at Claigan can help you navigate. See the list of exemptions here.
