EAC RoHS (CU TR 037/2016) was passed on March 1, 2018, by the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member states of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia. The regulation is aligned with the EU RoHS and restricts the content of six substances (lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers) in electrotechnical and electronic products. The concentration of cadmium may not exceed 0.01% by weight in homogeneous materials and the other five substances must not exceed 0.1%. EEU member states have until March 1, 2020 to comply.
